October Surprise This is a trance mix. Surprised? I started out a trance DJ and recently started listening to it again. I'm not going to stop playing house, I just wanted to diversify.

I think trance can be a bad word among D.C. area DJs and that made me feel a bit apprehensive putting this mix out there, but really, I liked the tracks so much I decided to do it anyway. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

PATIOS Mix (CD 1/3)

CD 1/3 of a Deep House demo set that I never released. I have no idea to this day why I didn't, but I decided to post it. It's not pure deep house, but this closely mirrors what I was playing at "Living in XS" in Baltimore, MD back in 2007.

So, what does the title mean? At one point, my partners in D.I. made up a fake astroturfing DJ group called People Against the Influence of the Stauff (PATIOS), as either a back-handed compliment or something more sinister. Who knows? I just decided to name my next mix series after it.
